Immigrant

You came to America because you thought it was great!

It wasn’t made great by following Buddha

It wasn’t made great by following Mary.

This country was made great by following Jesus.

Its tenets are from the Bible,

The very Word of God.

Its founders dedicated this country to Jehovah,

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

And they dedicated it to His Son, Jesus.

Find out about Jesus.

Follow Him,

And He will make this country great,

For You!

The Pied Piper (false prophets & self-appointed ministers) October 14, 2006

Wolves in sheep’s clothing

     Sweet words like honey

          Dripping out of their mouths

               As blood.

The scent of the slaughter

     Still on their skin

          The perfumed counterfeit of worship

               In a song.

Praying, decreeing in the night

     Manipulations, spells,

          Covered by the darkness

               Of their sin.

“Obey me, follow me, listen to me,

     I hear from God,”

          they say.

A Pied Piper of hell, they are.

     Their smooth enticements

Drawing the sheep to the edge of the cliff,

               Only to be left there

                    Blindly following each other

Screaming, as they fall to their death.

The Pied Piper shakes his head

     “hmmm,” he says

          “I wonder how that happened?”

Shaking his head he turns tail and runs.

Off he is, to find another fold to infiltrate

                              And bring to their destruction.

A True Shepherd:

Matthew 18:12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?
Matthew 18:13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away!

The Pied Piper:

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.
Matthew 7:16  You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?

Titles and Rooftops October 12, 2006

I know who I am,

I don’t have to shout it

From the rooftop.

My title is just a title,

I can be crushed by it.

I must follow Christ’s example

For He said,

“Who do you say that I am?”

He did not shout

From the rooftop,

“I am God!”

Although He is.

So, I’ll walk in the Spirit.

I’ll walk in humbleness.

I’ll follow His example.

I’ll walk the pitch

Of the rooftop,

With balance

And righteousness.

If I don’t,

The slope

Of the rooftop

Will cause me to fall

Right through it.

Deciduous People October 7, 2006

this poem was inspired by a dream.  I’m going to tell you the dream, very quickly…..there was a prophet, in the dream that had a yahoo group, or
something like it,and someone was chastising others with their messages on
the
group. I went to talk to him about it, and he basically said not to
worry about it, and said, ”I’ve understood deciduous people for a long time.”
(of course to write this I then had to find out what God meant–so
here it is)  Deciduous is a category of trees, and a Cedar of Lebanon is a tree that has succulent needles that hold water.

Deciduous People

deciduous people
go through a period of growth
but then they fall.
they chastise each other in their “maturity”
then their leaves fall off.
they must go through a period of dormancy
before life can come again,
for the fruit and the life of the deciduous
is cracked, and brittle and dead.

“but the godly will flourish like palm trees”
and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
they flourish in God’s garden
and grow fruit in old age.
their needles hold the essence of life
they remain vital and green.
they do not go through the cyclical death of the deciduous
but bear fruit in every season.
their leaves never wither–
nor fall off.

God’s people, choose this day, between life and death
which tree do you want to be,
the deciduous or the cedar?
the cyclical death or vibrancy?
stop chastising each other
unless, specifically, sent by God.
your words bring death to many,
and your fruit is falling off.

Questions for God: What Good is . . . ? October 7, 2006

Filed under: Poetry — prayindancinshari @ 3:34 am

What good is a seer

if there is nothing to see?

What good is a prophet

if there is no one to hear?

What good is a pastor

if there are no sheep to shepherd?

What good is a teacher

if there are no students to teach?

What good is an apostle

if there is nothing to plant?

What good is an evangelist

if there is no where to go?

What good is a seer, if there is nothing to see??

     Peer intently, O Seer

          And you will see.

What good is a prophet, if there is no one to hear??

     Speak the Word, prophet

          Someone will hear.

What good is a pastor, if there are no sheep??

     Pastor those around you, pastor

And your sheep fold will grow.

What good is a teacher, if there are no students to teach??

     Teach yourself first, teacher

          Then others will draw near.

What good is an apostle, if there is nothing to plant??

Plant the seed that is inside you first, apostle

Then you’ll produce more seeds to plant.

What good is an evangelist, if there is no where to go??

Did you obey My last instruction to “go” evangelist?

          That is the real question.

Worship Me,

Then listen, see, speak, pastor, teach, plant, and go.

The next step will be revealed

                After you’ve followed the first.
