The remnant prays
and a whole family is saved
it just takes one
to make the difference
meek and underestimated
underground,
doing surveillance
up at the night watch
down on their knees
decreeing
beseeching
the very heart of God

One obeys God
and is a living example
the fruit of their life
is a great inheritance
of generations serving the Lord

Another disobeys God
and spews hate
alcoholism
drug abuse
abortion
is their inheritance
as the fruit of their womb kills each other

But God!

But God intervenes
when the remnant–
the one sent to each generation–
intercedes on behalf of the others
and falls on their knees to pray.
a whole family is saved
up to a 1000 generations!

It just takes one
to make all the difference!

Romans 5:18-19:  Yes, Adam’s one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness makes all people right in God’s sight and gives them life.  Because one person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God’s sight.

The Great Adventure September 21, 2006

Filed under: Children, Christianity, Poetry, Scripture, Supernatural, cross — prayindancinshari @ 12:03 am

Teen suicides

Babies having babies

Babies having guns.

Mothers giving up their children

Mothers doing drugs.

What is the world coming to?

Where will it end?

When will we stop the madness??

When will we just give in?

For our redemption is now,

Jesus has already come.

He was beaten with 39 lashes.

He was nailed to a cross for our sins,

What more do we want??

He was beaten for our healing,

Every disease on the earth,

Died that day–On the cross—

Our mental struggles,

The stress that drives us

Was nailed to that tree.

Jesus replaced it with His peace,

The peace that passes understanding,

The peace of God.

Every sin

Every omission

Every– evil thought,

Sins of the fathers,

Sins of adultery, sins of fornication,

Were nailed to the cross.

Jesus died that day,

To take all of this away,

To give us eternity spent with Him.

But more than that!

To live every day on this Earth

In His presence,

Everyday with Him.

Walking in the supernatural,

Doing great exploits in His name.

Telling others our story,

And getting them saved.

Raising the dead!

Healing the sick!

Praying in the Spirit!

Oh, what an adventure it is to live in Him!

What an adventure it is to be saved!

Isaiah 53:4-11:  Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down.  And we thought his troubles were a punishment for His own sins!  But He was wounded and crushed for our sins.  He was beaten that we might have peace.  He was whipped, and we were healed! All of us have strayed away like sheep.  We have left God’s paths to follow our own.  Yet the Lord laid on Him the guilt and sins of us all . . .but who among the people realized that He was dying for their sins—that He was suffering their punishment. . . .But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush Him and fill Him with grief.  Yet when His life is made an offering for sin ,He will have a multitude of children, many heirs. . .And because of what He has experienced, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for He will bear all their sins”.

The Church of Laodecia September 19, 2006

The church of Laodecia
that is the church of today–
lovers of recreation
lovers of more stuff.

Kill the babies
silence our elders
hide our true feelings
cover it up with drugs.

We act like we’re religious
but we’re neither hot
nor ice cold.
we can’t make a quality decision
for the Christ
or they’ll call us a nut.

We listen to false teachers
we’re swayed by every new teaching
don’t we know there is nothing new, under the sun??

We exchange our families for more money
a bigger paycheck at the end of the month
we send our children down the street
to be raised by the adulteress woman
watching soaps in her hut!

And all because we need more stuff!

a bigger house
a bigger car
designer clothes
a dooney and burke bag

hey, we need to look good for our journey into eternity
as God vomits us out of His mouth!
Church!

Wake-up!

(c)shari mcgriff 2006Revelation 3: 15-22 15 “I know all the things you do, that you are
neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!16 But
since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit
you out of my mouth!17 You say, `I am rich. I have everything I
want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are
wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.18 So I advise
you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then
you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be
shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be
able to see.19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be
diligent and turn from your indifference.
20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and
open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as
friends.21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne,
just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and
understand what he is saying to the churches.”

The Elect September 19, 2006

At the end of the age

Many of the elect will be deceived

You know it’s true

You’ve seen it happen.

Stars have married

     hypocrites

and become one

     with them.

Pastors have married

     whores

and destroyed

     whole churches.

Only by knowing

     the Word of God

And judging everything

     against It,

Will You Not become

     one with them.

The deceived,

     The Elect.

The Amazing Creator September 5, 2006

Filed under: Poetry — prayindancinshari @ 1:23 am

You are amazing God
the things You have created
astound me

the beautiful butterfly
the dragon fly
the hummingbird
Oh my!
the intricacies
are astounding

Yet I am even more
fearfully and wonderfully made
than these

the world which encapsulates me
is made with such exactness
that I may live and breathe

the sun is positioned,
just so,
from the earth
to heat and give light
and not consume me

O Creator of Heaven and Earth
You are thoughtful and reverent
Creative and precise
Your handiwork is made with love
And I love You more so, today,
Because of Your extreme thoughtfulness.
