A Witness to My Life

Includes some prayers, poetry, and psalms. . . . . .some sweet, some harsh, but this is My Life.

Sunflowers April 26, 2006

Filed under: Poetry — prayindancinshari @ 6:10 pm

Sitting among the sunflowers

Skating through the stalks

I watch the face of the flower

     turn toward the Son.

And I decide,

     "I must do the same".

The Killing Fields of the Church April 20, 2006

Filed under: Christianity, Gossip/Slander, Poetry, Sign Posts to the Church, The Church — prayindancinshari @ 10:24 pm

In the Killing Fields of the Church

Some are bruised

Some are broken

     some are destroyed.

And some go off into the Night

     never to return.

Who is killing them?

Who is after their complete annihilation?

Ultimately it is Satan,

     but who is helping

          in their destruction?

Is it pride?

Is it envy?

Is it the shepherds

     or the sheep??

In the Killing Fields of the Church

Some are bruised

Some are broken

     and some are forever destroyed.

Is it the Enemy,

     or

          is it the “church”??

Where are You, God? April 20, 2006

Filed under: Prayers — prayindancinshari @ 1:30 am

I'm always searching…

searching for more of You.

Seeking…

     and seeking for Your presence.

Where are you, Lord?

Where are you,

     O God of the Universe,

     Creator of Heaven and Earth?

I Am right here, my child

I am right here.

I am with you in trouble,

I am with you in peace,

I Am with you wherever you may go.

Just Give Me Jesus April 12, 2006

Filed under: Christianity, Jesus, Poetry, Prayers — prayindancinshari @ 9:19 pm

Take your mumbo-jumbo
your universal thought
and give me Jesus.

Jot and tittle
precept upon precept
If it doesn’t line up
with the Word of God
then it is not from Him.

Our thoughts
Our wisdom
Eventhough they may
make sense
If they don’t match
the Word of God
then our wisdom is not from Him.

Take your kabbala
your meta-physical
your ghandi-ism
and just give me Jesus,

amen.

The Human Experience April 10, 2006

Filed under: Poetry — prayindancinshari @ 2:19 pm

Can you imagine a life

     without pain

no sorrow

no illness

no laughter

no gain.

The human experience

     would never change

if there was no dawn,

if the sun never set,

the grass never grew–

     no expectancy

          no hope

               no rain.

If all were well eternally,

     day after day,

where would the joy

     come from?

The hope of a new day?

No babies, no flowers,

     no grace.

Be grateful for the pain.

Say thank you to it.

For in the pain is

the cycle of life.

Distracted April 10, 2006

Filed under: Christianity, Jesus, Poetry, Prayers — prayindancinshari @ 2:13 pm

I need to focus

Distracted

World’s claws drag

me away

toward too many things

I see a glimpse of you

But its soon gone

and replaced by the

next thing

I don’t want to forget you

Help me to focus

Focus on You

Line my thoughts

up with your Word

My life with You

Purge me of things that

don’t belong

What good would it be for

me to gain the world

But lose you?

None–Lord help

me to focus–to

Prioritize You

Lust for things

Ambition

“My four and no more”

This is no way to live

Real life–

A satisfying life

only comes from

You.

Betrayed April 10, 2006

Filed under: Grief, Jesus, Prayers, Shari Psalms — prayindancinshari @ 1:58 pm

Lord forgive me

for running away from

you–hiding out

from Your grace.

Hurting and broken

Betrayed

I nurse my wounds

under the nearest

rock or thru

busyness

Help me to sit still–

to sit with you

Comforted by

your Presence in the

music

Help me not to run

away

but run into your

arms–Your grace

Be my shelter from

the rain

Surrounded by your

Presence

Nursed back to health

by Your Grace.

Seeker Friendly Churches April 10, 2006

Filed under: Christianity, Deception, Poetry, Seeker Friendly, Sign Posts to the Church, The Church — prayindancinshari @ 1:27 pm

(This piece is written from God’s perspective and written in response to a conversation with a man, who told me confidentially, that our church was seeker friendly. He said that they didn’t want to offend people, and this was why they were different from the original denomination we were in.  This angered me so much, because the Bible says that signs and wonders are for the unbeliever.  People are seeking the supernatural.  Why would we want to hide the “real deal”, the supernatural power of God?  This text seems harsh and corrective, but it is done in love.  Real correction is sometimes necessary in the Church, to bring about a change of thinking, and get us back on the right track, so we can concentrate on the Great Commission.  Some say it is prophetic, others say it is from unresolved anger–you decide.)

Seeker Friendly churches

You hide God,

to draw the masses.

You withold my

signs and wonders from them.

How dare you hide Me!

How dare you think

that I,

God Almighty

has to be in a box!

You think that I am

an Embarrassment.

You are ashamed of

My Holy Spirit.

You draw the masses

with your programs.

Yet none are prepared

for the days to come!

You speak only of

Grace and Mercy

Yet you never speak

of my Judgements.

I am a Righteous Judge!

The masses you’ve drawn

Don’t know Me

They’re not prepared

for the days to come.

You’ve tickled their ears

with casual speeches.

You preachers speak

only in half truths.

If you love your people

Show them all of Me–

Embrace Me.

Then they will know

You can not contain God!

It is not about programs

It is about worshiping Me!

And not just for

20 minutes on a Sunday!

You separate the children

From the parents

With your programs and your sweets.

The children of America

Don’t need anymore programs!

They don’t want candy,

They want Jesus!

They want to “do the stuff”!

Seeker Friendly pastors

I know you love me, but

The masses you’ve drawn

Don’t know Jesus.

They don’t know what My Son

Died for.

They’ve found “purpose”

But have no understanding

Of the Blood.

They are not prepared

For the White Throne

Of Judgement,

And their blood is on

Your hands.

And See

What Can Be Done!
